Nearly fifty percent of the first tower, the east, of the Ayia Napa Marina has been sold in addition to the sale of some villas according to the Managing Director. Sales began at the end of September 2016 and since then they have surpassed the company's expectations he confirmed in a local press interview with Politis recently.
Discussing the wide range of clients purchasing the properties Mr Caramondanis said: "We have a range of nationalities, we have Russians, we have Cypriots, we have Lebanese, we have Egyptians, from the Emirates, there is a clientele who wants to see the project being implemented to come to invest." He went on to clarify that sales motivated by the Cyprus Citizenship Scheme are low at 10% of sales.
"We are selling not only a real estate project, we sell a different experience, we sell an apartment or a villa located in a marina environment, in a commercial environment surrounded by the most beautiful beaches in Cyprus and I also dare say in Europe, so we do not compete with the other developments that exist either in Limassol or in Nicosia."
Speaking at the property exhibition Cityscape Global in Dubai recently Mr Caramondanis said: “We are excited by the interest the project has generated. The attention to design and finish, using architects of the standing of SmithGroupJJR, creates a product which is attracting discerning buyers. The feedback we have received, from around the world, is that these buyers are looking for first mover high-quality developments. There are many ‘copy-cat’ projects, which mirror existing developments, but very few exciting new opportunities in relatively underdeveloped markets.”
The scheme is a joint project between Egyptian businessman and international statesman, Naguib Sawiris and Cyprus-based Caramondani Group.
With the project designed by the world’s leading architectural firm, SmithGroupJJR, they have designed enjoyable and luxurious living adapted to contemporary Mediterranean-style accommodation; a real driving force of the project and one of its unique features attracting international investors.
Located between the beaches of Ayia Thekla and Makronissos, the Ayia Napa Marina will offer 190 spacious luxury apartments in two impressive towers, 29 luxury villas, a marina with significant world class facilities for 600 yachts a shipyard and a series of select shops and restaurants offering top class services. The first phase is scheduled to be completed in 2019 with the remainder of €220 million project finished by 2021.
