President Nicos Anastasiades announced on Monday new projects for Famagusta amounting to €34.4 million.

Anastasiades attended a meeting at Paralimni Municipality to declare the developmenmt package for schools, roads and parks.

During the period 2013-2016 a total of €32.2 million euros was spent on projects in the Famagusta district, while the amount provided for projects in the 2017 budget is €23.3 million.

President Anastasiades said that through the cooperation and the sacrifices of the people of Cyprus, “we are able to restore the prestige and the credibility of the state, the financial system, and create stability conditions and growth rates which today are among the highest in the EU”.

He expressed his satisfaction over the Ayia Napa marina construction, noting that this is one of the biggest investments which will significantly contribute to the tourism in the region.
