Following a two month summer break, the academy which is based at the Keravnos fields in Strovolos, will return to action this week, featuring a new name and many coaching changes.
The Arsenal FC brand has been abandoned (due to a decision by the London club to focus solely on large markets internationally), with the Cyprus academy thus continuing as GPS SEE / Valencia CF. The American firm which operates in the academies section and the Spanish powerhouse have joined forces and expanded in the highly talented -football wise-south east Europe region.
The coaches and staff of GPS SEE / Valencia CF Cyprus have already started work on Monday August 28 with their preparations for the first day of training, which is set for this upcoming Monday. The enrollments for boys and girls, born between 2002 and 2013, kicked off last Wednesday August 30th and will continue daily.

APOEL FC legend Marinos Satsias has taken over the role as technical advisor of the academy, while former APOEL defender and youth coach Stelios Okkarides will take up the role of technical director. The coaching staff is also comprised of experienced youth coach and former Omonia Nicosia defender Andros Yiatrou, former Omonia footballer and youth coach Christos Panayiotou, and the younger coaches Giorgos Kattimeris and Marios Georgiou, all of them UEFA diploma holders. Kyriakos Vasiliou will serve as fitness coach.
