The mother of a British teenager has appealed for help to get her critically ill daughter back home to the UK after suffering a brain haemorrhage while holidaying in Cyprus.

According to a report by the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, 17-year-old Shanna Newby from Hipperholme was holidaying with her boyfriend Joe Collett and his family in Cyprus when she fell ill last week.

“She was a healthy young lady having a holiday, next thing she’s in hospital for one condition before rapidly deteriorating dramatically by haemorrhaging, resulting in four serious blood clots,” said her mum Karen.
