Three in hospital after Paphos traffic incidents

Three army conscripts and an elderly British man were injured in two separate traffic incidents in Paphos on Wednesday night.

Two of the National Guardsman and an elderly tourist were kept at Paphos General Hospital under observation overnight. Their condition is not said to be serious.

The first traffic incident involved the three soldiers after the car they were travelling in on Danae Avenue skid off the road and mounted the roundabout.

The second incident occurred in the tourist area of Paphos when an 80-year-old British tourist was knocked down by a car as he was crossing the road.

He was treated for mainly bruising and scratches to his body.
