Cyprus NHS law set for June vote

The bills regarding the autonomy of state hospitals and the creation of a National Health Scheme (NHS) are set to be submitted to the House Plenum sometime in June for a vote.

The announcement was made by House Health Committee chair Costas Constantinou following Thursday’s meeting on the issue.

“It is the best course of action that gives citizens and patients both rights and aspirations. Making the NHS available to the public has been made possible through a much needed major reform in our country,” said Constantinou.
