The AHEPA delegation were informed on developments in the UN-brokered Cyprus peace talks, the economy, energy and bilateral ties with the US.
On the Cyprus problem, Zachariades told journalists he was confident that “something will be done” on the part of the US and that AHEPA are standing by the President and Cyprus.
“It is time for Turkey to contribute to a Cyprus solution, after 43 years. We all say `enough,” he added.
AHEPA members met earlier separately with Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou for Humanitarian Issues and Overseas Cypriots.
Photiou briefed them on the issue of missing persons and diaspora-related matters.
