Cyprus is a riot of colour in April and right through to the middle of May with spring in full force. In the seventh of our Cyprus Photo Series we have some stunning spring images taken by our contributing photographer Phil Parker - click the images below to enlarge.
For such a small country Cyprus offers a remarkably diverse natural environment. This time of year is ideal for nature hikes and getting off the beaten track to see all the beauty of Cyprus.
The flora of Cyprus contains about 1800 species and according to the WWF that includes more than 125 plants that are only found in Cyprus. Overall Cyprus is host to an estimated 8,733 species of animals and plants which provides ample opportunity for capturing the most breathtaking photos:
Phil Parker describes himself as an amateur photographer and has been uploading photos to the Cyprus Eastern Forum for many years. He used a Canon eos 650D camera to take these shots and says "the pleasure I get from my photos is knowing that people are enjoying them". We certainly do love them and will be featuring various collections over the coming weeks.
