Budget carrier Blue Air successfully inaugurated its first flight from Larnaca to Birmingham on Sunday 26th March, adding another destination to its growing route list. The new route follows the recent announcement that it was adding additional flights to the Larnaca to Liverpool route.
With the addition of Blue Airs’ third aircraft at its base in Larnaca on June 15th 2017, the airline will be flying directly to the following eight destinations:
- London Luton
- Cluj-Napoca (Transylvania) from 09th of April 2017
- Tel Aviv from 15th of June 2017
Initially there will be flights available to Birmingham, three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) departing from Larnaca at 7:15 a.m. and departing from Birmingham at 11:15 a.m.
Blue Air’s Chief Commercial Officer, Tudor Constantinescu stated that "This latest addition highlights our commitment to offering a seamless and convenient travel to our Cypriot passengers, who have highly recognized Blue Air’s high standards in terms of safety, security, punctuality and constant improvement".
Launched in 2004 award winning Blue Air received the Best Low-cost Airline In Romania award during the TopHotels Awards 2016 ceremony. The Blue Air fleet currently consists of 26 Boeing 737 aircraft with a capacity of between 126 and 189 seats.
