New entrant to the Cyprus airline scene, Orion Airways, today revealed its first plane as it nears completion.
In a message posted to their Facebook page it stated:
The very first #flyorion aircraft is almost ready!
Stay tuned until it lands in Larnaca soon...
Orion Airways, operating as a low-cost airline, is expected to initially begin with flights to Greece and the UK, before adding France, Austria and Israel to its route network.
Chief Executive Officer of Orion Airways, Thanasis Kokkotas, previously stated that the company “has aggressive plans for its expansion" aiming to have an overall fleet of eight aircraft by the end of 2017.
This newly established Cypriot airline was founded in 2015 and is based in Larnaca.
No exact date has been given as to when it will begin flights.
