The rebranding of the Carrefour supermarkets network across Cyprus into Greek supermarket chain Sklavenitis is expected to be completed in June 2017 according to inbusinessnews.com

The rebranding will take place after the acquisition by Sklavenitis supermarkets from the Marinopoulos group, of which Carrefour in Cyprus is a subsidiary.

All Carrefour Cyprus supermarkets will be renamed “Sklavenitis”, and some reorganising of the space within the supermarkets will take place. Particular attention will be paid to the hiring and training of staff, with the goal of transferring the culture of a family-run business, the cornerstone of Sklavenitis’ success in Greece.

As far as pricing policy is concerned, it is likely to remain the same, since Carrefour has already established a reputation for low prices which Sklavenitis wants to continue.
