Expat starts petition to end dangerous Paphos road

A British expat from Paphos has decided to take matters into his own hands and do something about what many claim is a dangerous stretch of road in the town that is often frequented by boy racers.

Fed up with the constant speeding along Poseidonos Avenue, Paphos resident Mark Hemming started a petition calling on the local authorities to do something about the problem.

Describing the ‘anti-social behaviour of middle aged men who spend the vast majority of their time speeding and revving their cars and motorcycles up and down and do so on a regular basis through the day’ as ‘boy racers’, Hemming calls on the Mayor of Paphos Fedonas Fedonos, to adopt a zero-tolerance policy.

He added that both the local council and police do little to combat this on-going problem which affects residents, local businesses and tourists alike.
