Registered Unemployed: January 2023

The unemployed persons, registered at the District Labour Offices on the last day of January 2023, reached 16.758 persons. Based on the seasonally adjusted data that show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for January 2023 increased to 14.121 persons in comparison to 14.068 in the previous month. In comparison with January 2022, an increase of 1.328 persons or 8,6% was recorded, attributed mainly to the sectors of financial and insurance activities (an increase of 589), accommodation and food service activities (an increase of 583), transportation and storage (an increase of 143), human health and social work activities (an increase of 76), and information and communication (an increase of 67).
