Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP): October 2022

In October 2022 the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices increased by 8,6% when compared to the index of October 2021 while, when compared to the index of September 2022, the HICP increased by 0,5%. For the period January – October 2022 the HICP recorded an increase of 8,2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. (Table 1)

Note: The HICP in Euro area for the last month is based on EUROSTAT’s estimation (flash estimate).

Compared to October 2021, the largest changes were noted in Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels (22,2%), Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (12,6%) and Transport(11,9%). (Table 1)...
