A yellow weather warning has been extended by the Department of Meteorology, for isolated thunderstorms, which are expected to affect mainly southern and western areas this morning.
According to the warning, the intensity of rain is expected to vary between 35 and 50 millimetres per hour, whilst there is also a chance of hail.
The yellow warning, which initially covered up until 7pm Monday evening, has been extended until 11am today.
