A 25-year-old French woman was reportedly injured in a fall at the Sea Caves, Cape Greco, around noon on Saturday, according to an announcement.
The Search and Rescue Coordination Center immediately mobilized the Fire Brigade from the Famagusta Station, EMAK, a speedboat of the Port and Maritime Police, as well as an ambulance from the State Health Services Organization.
The 25-year-old woman, after being given first aid, was stabilized on a stretcher and brought to the top by the Fire Brigade. She was then handed over to an ambulance crew for treatment, before eventually being transferred to Famagusta General Hospital.
The public are reminded that, according to a decision of the competent state services, the approach and dives at the point of the "sea caves" in Cape Greco are strictly prohibited, since according to an inspection of the Geological Survey Department, the soil has been judged as dangerous due to increased erosion.
