Residents of care homes will be able to receive visitors as from March 1 subject to stringent protocols that include visitors presenting a negative coronavirus test, the labour ministry said on Friday.

The protocols apply for state, private and community care homes for the aged, facilities for the disabled and child and teenage protection homes.

Each resident will be allowed a maximum of two visitors from the same household per visit, with a total of two visits a week. Visits must be arranged in advance by telephone with the manager of the facility and must not exceed one hour.
