Cyprus saw fewer Covid-19 deaths over the last two weeks following the deadliest period in January, the health ministry announced on Friday.

Between February 12-19, deaths were down by 33 per cent compared with the previous week.

Eight deaths were reported during that period compared with 12 deaths reported in the week prior to that, while only one death was reported between February 19 to 24, the ministry’s epidemiological unit said in the national report.

The majority of deaths, six, came from Limassol.
