Taxisnet filing deadline extended to December 15

The department of inland revenue has extended the deadline for employees to file their tax returns for 2019 to December 15.

Tax returns were due at the end of October and this was later extended to November 30.

But with only 60 per cent of taxpayers having filed by Thursday and with the Taxisnet website experiencing technical difficulties amid a rush of submissions, the deadline was pushed back again, with the finance ministry issuing a decree on Friday – only three days before the deadline.
