BoC: Only online payments of utility bills

Announcing new measures to protect clients and personnel from the Covid-19 pandemic, Bank of Cyprus said on Wednesday that it will stop accepting payment of utility bills at its counters in order to reduce footfall at its branches.

The new measures will come into force on October 26.

Clients can pay their utility bills, permit renewals, fines, municipal fees etc, easily, safely and at no cost through ibank or directly on JCC Smart, it said.

However, payments can be made at the counter for government departments or VAT and other isolated cases for which payments digitally are not possible....
