Three new coronavirus cases emerged in the Republic of Cyprus from the pool of 1,247 samples checked for the virus on Friday, a Health Ministry announcement said.

The new cases involve a Polish permanent resident of Cyprus who developed symptoms and got checked for the virus, a Serbian player of the local football team Apoel who flew to the island from Serbia on July 7, and a contact of a case announced on July 7 .
