By June 30th, a total of 998 COVID-19 cases and 26 deaths (case fatality rate: 2.6%) have been reported in the Republic of Cyprus. Overall, of 853 cases for which the place of exposure was known, locally acquired infections (index cases and close-contacts of confirmed cases) were 677 (79.4%) – of these 8.4% (n = 57) were related to a health-care facility (General Hospital in Pafos) and 12.4% (n = 84) were reported in Aradippou municipality.
