121 caught breaking stay at home decree

A total of 121 pedestrians and drivers were booked by police overnight for breaking the stay at home decree that includes a 9 pm to 6 am curfew.

Four premises were also booked.

Police said that they carried out 3506 checks from 6 pm on Wednesday to 6 am on Thursday to check compliance with Covid-19 decrees.

Of these 2920 were on pedestrians and drivers (121 booked) and 586 on premises (4 booked).

Nicosia: 1255 checks, 38 booked

Limassol: 563 checks, 32 booked

Larnaca: 549 checks, 10 booked

Paphos: 224 checks, 24 booked

Famagusta: 468 checks, 10 booked
