NICOSIA – A Cypriot man in self-quarantine after being infected with the COVID-19 Coronavirus left his house to go in search of chloroquine, a drug touted by US President Donald Trump as possibly being effective, but which killed a couple in Arizona who took it.

Health officials said the man, who was not identified, went looking for the drug in pharmacies, reported Kathimerini Cyprus although he had been ordered to stay home while recovering from the virus.
