NICOSIA – Despite another 35 cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus bringing the total to 214 on Cyprus – not including the Turkish-occupied northern third – 455 people were cited by police for breaking a lockdown requiring them to stay home.

That brings an on-the-spot fine of 150 euros ($166.06) or, if taken to court to face six months in jail and/or a fine of 3,000 euros ($3321.18) although it wasn’t reported whether that had been done yet.
