The percentage of agricultural land used for organic farming in Cyprus is 4.6 per cent which is below the EU average. Cyprus is ranked 10 th in the EU by Eurostat.

The countries with the biggest share of organic farmland in 2018 were Austria (24.1 per cent of total utilised agricultural area), Estonia (20.6 per cent) and Sweden (20.3 per cent). They were followed by Italy (15.2 per cent), Czech Republic (14.8 per cent), Latvia (14.5 per cent), Finland (13.1 per cent) and Slovenia (10 per cent).
