Nicosia police are trying to determine who was behind the wheel of a vehicle that crashed on Saturday morning in Kaimakli, killing the front seat passenger.

According to police, a 23-year-old male, described as Bulgarian national Panayot Panov, was killed in a car accident on Saturday morning in Kaimakli, a suburb in east Nicosia.

Panov was in a vehicle as a front seat passenger early Saturday morning around 4:15am, when the car veered off the road under circumstances still pending investigation and struck a metal utility pole. Sources told...
