Burglars swipe half a million worth of loot

Over half a million euros worth of watches and jewellery have been stolen from the Limassol home of a Russian businessman, according to police.

According to Limassol CID, the burglars managed to get into the Russian’s luxury home in Yermasogeia by breaking through an aluminum sliding door sometime between 4pm and 9.30pm on Saturday.

The robbers then ransacked the businessman’s house before finding a key giving them access to a safe in his office containing designer watches and precious jewellery worth a total of over €550,000.

Investigations are continuing while CCTV footage area is being looked into.
