A man who was convicted in a credit union bank robbery in Limassol has been sentenced to nine years.

Charalambos Kalogerides was arrested in Larnaca last summer in connection with an armed robbery at the Ayios Athanasios Co-op bank in Limassol back in March 2018, where €30,000 had been stolen.

The 33-year-old convict was linked to drug lord Elias Mouzos, who was also arrested for shooting at a police officer in a separate incident. But authorities clarified that Kalogerides was never charged with shooting anyone. Kalogerides said he feared for...
