€15,000 stolen from British tourists in Paphos

Items and cash worth more than €15,000, belonging to a British couple, were stolen from a house in Peyia, on Thursday.

The couple who are in Cyprus on holiday, reported to police that someone broke into the house they were staying at between 12pm and 10pm.

According to the couple, the burglars took €400 and £150 in cash, a laptop worth €1,000, two watches, – one valued at €8,000, the other at €700 – sunglasses and jewelry.

Police officers found that the burglars entered the house through a bathroom window.
