Items and cash worth €15,400 in total were stolen from a house in Peyia on Thursday.

A couple from the UK who are on the island on holiday reported to police that someone broke into the house they were staying at between noon and 10pm.

Police officers found that the perpetrators entered the house through a bathroom window.

According to the couple, police said, the burglars took €400 and £150 in cash, a laptop worth €1,000, two watches, the one valued at €8,000, the other at €700, sunglasses and jewellery.
