Cypriot Households Remain Highly Indebted, Data Reveal

Cypriot households and businesses continue to be highly indebted despite the decline in debt levels, according to a report released on Tuesday by the Central Bank of Cyprus .

According to the report, the debt of the non-financial private sector reached 226.6 percent of the island’s GDP at the end of March 2018, down from 240.3 per cent in the previous quarter.
