Jet2, the British low-cost airline, have announced that there will be almost 200,000 seats on sale to Paphos and Larnaca next winter as more Britons choose Cyprus for some Winter Sun.
More flights and longer seasons mean that almost 60,000 additional seats are on sale to Cyprus for winter 2019 compared to this winter representing 42% capacity growth.
Jet2 confirmed "With traditionally popular Winter Sun destinations such as the Canary Islands, Mainland Spain and Portugal continuing to grow, another driver of our expanded programme is the increasing popularity of destinations that may previously have been viewed as summer sun hotspots, such as Turkey and Cyprus."
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: "This is our biggest and most exciting Winter Sun programme ever, giving customers across our nine UK bases even more choice and flexibility when it comes to getting away next winter. As ever, we have designed our programme in direct response to demand from holidaymakers, so as well as continuing to offer more flights and holidays to popular winter hotspots such as the Canaries, Balearics, Portugal and Spain, we are delighted to be expanding our Winter offering to fantastic destinations such as Turkey, Cyprus and Malta. "
In addition to the Winter Sun programme, Jet2 currently have a sale on a wide selection of flights for summer 2019.
