Details of the man who appears to be involved in the disappearance of two Larnaca school children from Kamares state primary school have been released.

The man is described as 45-60 years old, roughly 1.75m tall with a beard and described as plump about 100 kilos.

He wore a black short sleeve shirt with a brightly coloured front and a sleeveless waistcoat. He wore long dark trousers and a dark-coloured hat. It was noted that his right hand is roughly bound with a bandage. Authorities will shortly publish an artist's sketch of the man based on the testimonies received from pupils at the Primary School.

Local Cypriot News station Sigma has reported that the man allegedly said to the two boys, "I am your new teacher, would you come with me to help me move something?" . The man then put the two minors in the grey Nissan saloon car and vanished. When the school bell rang, it became clear that two children were missing, identified as two good friends, 11-year-olds Themistoklis Donglis and Filippos Stamatakis.

Anyone with any information should contact the Police on 24804024 or 24804016 or the Citizen's Line at 1460.
