A document backed by the OSCE which attempted to defuse some of the political language confronting journalists in Cyprus has been rejected by Greek-Cypriot reporters.

The Words That Matter: A Glossary for Journalism in Cyprus had been produced earlier this week as part of a dialogue project between reporters north and south of the divided island.

It was billed as an attempt to codify recommendations for reporting on sensitive issues in Cyprus.
