Fuel prices, which have risen internationally in recent months, are now also rising at the pumps in Cyprus. Over the last week new price increases in Cyprus are being reflected with all stations adjusting the price upwards.

Speaking to SigmaLive the President of Cyprus Petroleum Association Stefanos Stefanou, said that the last time such high prices were recorded was in 2014.

The reason for such an increase in prices is clearly international developments, which essentially determine the "fuel market".

Asked to respond to differences in fuel prices between petrol stations, Stefanou explained that they are in the range of 0.01 to 0.02 cents, a difference that is part of the healthy competition between service stations.
