It's carnival day in Cyprus with three major carnivals taking place across the island expected to attract tens of thousands of revellers.
After a period of unsettled weather which produced heavy downpours, the Limassol, Famagusta and the rearranged Paphos Carnival will all get underway later this afternoon.
The Cyprus Meteorological Service forecasts a fine and dry afternoon with scattered clouds. It expects inland temperatures to be 19°C with 19°C also on the east and south coasts and a slightly cooler 17°C on the west coast.
Limassol Carnival starts at 1pm along Archbishop Makarios III Avenue.
Famagusta Carnival starts at 2pm from the Second Primary School, Paralimni.
Paphos Carnival starts at 3pm along the Poseidonos Avenue in Kato Paphos.
The carnival is a very popular and traditional festival which has been celebrated in Limassol and all over Cyprus for more than a hundred years.
