Exit polls in Cyprus predict that the country’s president Nicos Anastasiades has been re-elected to another five-year term, defeating the left-leaning independent Stavros Malas.
A poll by state-run broadcaster RIK showed President Nicos Anastasiades receiving 54.5-59.5 percent of the vote in Sunday’s election, compared with 40.5-45.5 percent for Stavros Malas.
Another, by ANT1 shows Anastasiades receiving 53-57 percent, compared with 43% – 47% for Melas.
