Since the beginning of December, rainfall in has reached only four per cent of what is normal, it was announced on Tuesday.

From the beginning of the month to date, rainfall reached 4.7cm compared to the average norm for this time of the year of 105.6cm, the met service said.

The largest amount of rainfall since December 1 was recorded in Athalassa (Nicosia) with 15.7cm and in Stavros tis Psokas with 10.3cm.
